Ready to reach for the skies and climb every peak?
This July, People First is taking on the Keswick Three Peaks Challenge; fancy joining us for a beautiful trek in some of the UK’s most stunning scenery?
The day will bring sights of the striking Cumbrian landscape of Borrowdale and the stilled waters of Derwent Water. All the while, supporting us as we help people with learning difficulties to live their lives the way they want to.
Taking part is £40 per person with a suggested minimum sponsorship amount of £250. Our team will support you with fundraising ideas and resources to help you hit your goal.
Find out more and sign up below. Places are limited so early sign up is highly recommended.
Saturday 9th July 2022.
The route begins in the market town, Keswick, following the Cumbrian Way out towards the first peak Catbells.
With views of the still waters of Derwent Water, you'll climb up its steep trails and scramble up sections of rock covered terrain before you enjoy the peaceful views across Keswick and Borrowdale.
You'll then begin to descend your first of three summits into the Borrowdale valley, before taking the quiet trails to reach your second peak of Walla Crag.
Your route from Walla Crag to your final peak of the day, Latrigg, takes you back through Keswick and with a quick loop up and over the final peak; with its quick descent back into the market town where you can rest and celebrate.
The walk takes approximately between 7 to 9 hours, across 18 miles of stunning views and untouched landscape.
To take part, the entry fee is:
- £40 per person
We also suggest that each person taking part raises a minimum donation of £250 which will directly support people with learning difficulties in Lancashire and Cumbria.
The walk along the Keswick Three Peaks covers mainly good terrain and is classed as a perfect 'entry' for someone wanting to take on the exciting challenge of a multi-peak trail.
