Support Worker (Child) Carlisle

We are currently recruiting for a Personal Assistant/Support worker to support a 9-year-old girl with Autism.
The young girl has delayed skills, is pre-verbal and no safety awareness. Applicants must have experience/awareness of this as this is essential for this role, however training on Autism is available if required.
The ideal candidate for the role will have patience and the ability to build a relationship and trust with the girl, provide emotional support and promote her independence/motivation and encouraging with personal care tasks.
The role will involve supporting the girl out in the local community, such as going to the park.
Hours are flexible to suit the needs of the individual. There are 6 hours per week available on a weekend but may be flexible to meet the needs of the family.
Driving license desirable, but not essential. You must be able to reliably commute to the child’s home address.
The successful candidate must be willing to complete an Enhanced DBS check (fully funded by the Employer). Applicants who have a current DBS on the update service would be an advantage.
