What does it mean to live your best life?

This fun and dynamic course helps people build confidence, meet new people, and develop new skills.

Living your best life can mean a lot of things. From connecting with your community, to knowing your rights. From healthy living to relationships, managing money to having a career.

Our Best Life Programme has been co-produced with people with learning disabilities, to be a fun and interactive course that helps learners build confidence and awareness. 

How it works

The Best Life programme provides practical and classroom-based opportunities for learners to explore varied topics in a tailored way.

In a safe and rewarding space learners works alongside dedicated coaches to achieve accredited qualifications. 

The Best Life programme:

  • Takes place over 2 days per week from 10am-4pm
  • Is based at the People First Conference Centre in Carlisle 
  • Brings learners together in small groups up to 6 people

How you'll learn

Working with peers in small groups, learners work towards a nationally recognised qualification whilst exploring topics such as:

  • Healthy life: Personal wellbeing
  • Life with love: Personal relationships
  • Informed life: Education and information
  • Wealthy life: Income and money management
  • Productive life: Occupation

With a mix of classroom based learning and visits out into the community, this is a varied programme that will help people develop skills, confidence whilst making new friendships.

Your learning will focus on different parts of your life, you will be supported to identify areas for personal and skills development including the following topics:

  • Being Healthy
  • Enterprise
