Our Board of Trustees meets twice a year to hear about our recent work; give feedback, ask questions and ensure that we are providing the best possible service to the public.
The meetings take place in-public to make the process open and transparent. Come along to the People First Conference Centre on Milbourne Street, Carlisle on January 21st for a 1.30pm start.
You can also attend via a Teams link.
Representatives of Healthwatch teams in Cumberland, Westmorland & Furness, Lancashire and Stockton-On-Tees will be in attendance to provide an update on the work that has taken place over the last six months and their progress towards performance targets.
The Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2012 requires every local authority in the country to make provision for a Healthwatch in their area to give the public a voice in the system.
Our Board of Trustees acts as a critical friend, pushing us to find new and innovative ways to carry out this duty to the public.
You will have an opportunity to ask questions of the board, however, if you would like an answer on the day, please send your questions in five working days in advance.
