Reporting To: Business Team Manager
Salary: £24,570 to £26,570 depending on experience
Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract Type: Full-time
Holiday Entitlement: 20 days (FTE) plus bank holidays and Christmas closure, length of service increments.

Purpose of job

The Person

As a prerequisite, the successful candidate must believe in the core values of People First and be driven by our mission:

  • Be highly organised, with a keen eye for detail
  • Be able to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines and drive forward the actions of the Directors
  • Be an effective communicator and able to liaise with all stakeholders, including Trustees, all staff, and customers

Qualifications

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Good all-round level of education

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Training in, or equivalent skill using Microsoft packages including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to build strong working relationships
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow direction, use your own initiative and meet deadlines
  • Experience of working to set objectives/targets
  • Effective communication with management and staff across the business at all levels
  • Previous experience working in an administrative role

Duties will include

Working as part of the Business Team to contribute to the delivery of the actions/objectives of the Directors, including:

  • Diary, email, and document management
  • Reminding of actions and deadlines
  • Attending and supporting in internal and external meetings
  • Administration of our bid and tender writing, report writing and proof reading
  • Organising travel and accommodation
  • Submitting mileage and expense claims
  • Event management / supporting project launches
  • Advisory panel support
  • Signposting Customers to the relevant service via email
  • Support the timely/effective ordering of staff equipment/office supplies


Other Duties
