The family of a 13-year-old boy with Autism (with a PDA profile), ADHD and Epilepsy (which is well controlled) are currently recruiting for a Personal Assistant to provide support to the boy on a 1-1 basis.

The family of a 13-year-old boy with Autism (with a PDA profile), ADHD and Epilepsy (which is well controlled) are currently recruiting for a Personal Assistant to provide support to the boy on a 1-1 basis.

SEND experience is not essential, but desirable. The position is based in Seaton, Workington.

The role is to support the boy with life skills, hobbies and interests, both at home and in the local community, including (but not limited to):

  • Visiting the shore to collect Sea Glass
  • Support going to the shops to spend pocket money
  • Going out for food
  • Watching YouTube videos and playing Xbox games
  • Support and encouragement to use public transport (accompanied)
  • Supervision while playing both inside the home and outside
  • Confidence building
  • Promoting independence

Support required for up to 4 hours per week.
