We are currently recruiting for a Personal Assistant/Support worker to support a 5-year-old girl with a neurological condition.

We are looking for an experienced PA, who has worked with children with Autistic traits before.

The ideal candidate for the role will have patience and the ability to build a relationship and trust with the girl, provide emotional support and promote her independence/motivation whilst being vigilant of any dangers. Must be comfortable around animals and going on days out.

The role will involve supporting the girl out in the local community in addition to a variety of keen interests and activities including (but not limited to):

  • Going to the Aquarium
  • Soft play
  • Play parks
  • Farm parks

Hours are flexible to suit the needs of the individual. There are 4hrs per week available during term time, with additional hours available in the school holidays, however there may be some weeks where support is not required and the additional hours can be used in another week. Further details of shifts required can be discussed at the next stage of the application stage. Average 4hrs-20hrs per week.

Experience working with and understanding children living with disabilities is essential for this role.

Candidates must also hold a full driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.

The successful candidate must be willing to complete an Enhanced DBS check (fully funded by the Employer). Applicants who have a current DBS on the update service would be an advantage.
