Looking for two personal assistants to support a very bubbly and very energetic 5-year-old girl on a 2:1 basis with Autism and Challenging Behaviour.

We are currently recruiting for two Personal Assistant’s/Support worker’s to support a 5-year-old girl on a 2:1 basis with Autism and Challenging Behaviour.

The young girl is very bubbly and very energetic and always on the go. Therefore, we are looking for someone who has the same energy and would be able to keep up with this.

The ideal candidate for the role will have experience working with children with Autism, have patience and the ability to build a relationship and trust with the girl, provide emotional support and promote her independence/motivation.

The role will involve supporting the girl out in the local community in addition to a variety of keen interests and activities including (but not limited to):

  • Soft play
  • Play parks
  • Swimming

Hours are flexible to suit the needs of the individual. There are 4 hours per week available per PA during term time and 6 hours per week per PA during school holidays, however there may be some weeks where support is not required and the additional hours can be used in another week. Further details of shifts required can be discussed at the next stage of the application.

Having a driving license is desirable but not essential.

The successful candidate must be willing to complete an Enhanced DBS check (fully funded by the Employer). Applicants who have a current DBS on the update service would be an advantage.
