The family of a non-verbal 15-year-old boy with Autism and a Severe Learning Disability, ADHD and Epilepsy are recruiting for 2-1 Respite Support in the form of Personal Assistants. Support is required for 3 hours per week during term time and 10 hours per week during holidays.

The family of a non-verbal 15-year-old boy with Autism and a Severe Learning Disability, ADHD and Epilepsy are recruiting for 2-1 Respite Support in the form of Personal Assistants.

Support is required for 3 hours per week during term time and 10 hours per week during holidays - all on a 2-1 basis (subject to change dependent on package requirements)

Experience supporting children with SEN (Special Educational Needs) is essential – including behaviours of distress.

The role will involve providing support for the boy and family along with assisting with personal care. Assistance with after school activities such as walking, visiting shops and going out to places to eat is required in the summer months. Trampolining and visits to the cinema during the winter months.

Safety and Awareness is key.

Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

An Enhanced DBS on the update service is an advantage however, not essential as this can be processed for the right candidate – funded by the Employer.
