We are currently recruiting for a Personal Assistant/ Support worker to support a 7 year-old boy from the Flimby area who has Autism and is non-verbal. There are 4 hours a week available, which can be used flexibly to work around the needs of the family. Both weekday and weekend work available.

We are currently recruiting for a Personal Assistant/ Support worker to support a 7 year-old boy from the Flimby area who has Autism and is non-verbal.

The role will involve supporting the boy in her home environment and out in the local community in addition to a variety of keen interests and activities including (but not limited to):

· Climbing walls

· Exploring the outdoors

· Going to the park

The young boy will need full support and encouragement with personal care tasks and with his daily routine and encouraging independence. The young boy uses a safety buggy when outdoors.

The ideal candidate for the role will have patience and the ability to deal with any challenging situations in a calm and respectful manner and be able to build a relationship and trust with the boy.

Experience working with and understanding children living with disabilities is essential for this role.

Driving license desirable but not essential.

There are 4 hours a week available, which can be used flexibly to work around the needs of the family. Both weekday and weekend work available.
