30 hours per week available to support a young girl, who is non-verbal and non-mobile and requires support with all aspects of her care. £13.86 p/hour.

Advertised on behalf of a family:

The family of a young girl, who is non-verbal and non-mobile, require support to help with all aspects of her care. They are looking for someone who is caring and has a willingness to make a difference. Someone who is bubbly and imaginative to help stimulate and encourage her and who can fit in with the family and the chaos.

She is in nappies as she is unable to say or use the potty now. She requires support with medication, feeding and suctioning if needed, as well as getting ready for bed.

Support may also be required to take her out for a walk in her wheelchair, or doing activities to help encourage her progress, e.g. stretches. If she is having a bad day, support with the other children may be needed, which will allow the parents to provide the necessary care and support.

An average of 30 hours per week are available, which would ideally be worked Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 15:00-20:00. Thursdays are negotiable until September.

Day time hours on some weekends and additional hours in the school holidays may be required, however these would be arranged in advance between the successful applicant and the employer. Exact hours of work may need to be flexible to meet the child’s needs.

Experience of pegs, suctioning and mobility issues would be advantageous, however full clinical and moving and handling training will be provided.

Full Driving License and access to own car required.
