We are advertising some fantastic opportunities on behalf of a family located in the Workington area who are seeking dedicated, compassionate, and reliable Personal Assistants to provide essential care for their 2-year-old son, who lives with Cerebral Palsy and has other complex health needs.

About the Role:
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a close-knit support team, helping this little boy thrive in his home and in the local community. The role involves:

  • Supporting with all aspects of personal care and daily life including interactive activities, days away from the family home and local walks.
  • Meeting social and emotional needs, supporting the boy to engage with the world around him.
  • Providing clinical care including the use of specialist medical equipment (full paid training provided).
  • Assisting with mobility, transfers, and positioning.

Shifts & Flexibility:

  • 24/7 support is required – a range of shifts are available to meet the boy’s needs, including a variety of: days, evenings, weekends, and waking nights.
  • 26 hours per week contract available plus zero hour/bank positions.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Kindness, patience, and a genuine desire to support a child with complex needs.
  • Willingness to undertake training and follow clinical guidance.
  • A Full UK Driving Licence (Desirable but not Essential)
  • Previous care experience would be an advantage however not essential as full training and family support will be provided.

Pay & Benefits:

  • £13.86 per hour for daytime shifts
  • £12.72 per hour for waking nights (10pm – 6am)
  • Bank holidays paid at double time

Please note that the successful candidates will be required to complete a mandatory enhanced DBS application (funded by the package)
