Support Worker (Child) Whitehaven

We are currently recruiting for a Personal Assistant/Support worker to support a 11-year-old with Autism and ADHA, in the Whitehaven area.
We are looking for an experienced PA, who has worked with children with Autistic traits before and ideally experience working with children with ADHD.
The ideal candidate for the role will have patience and the ability to build a relationship and trust with the boy, provide emotional support and promote his independence and encouraging with some personal care tasks.
The role will involve supporting the boy in his own home and out in the local community in addition to a variety of keen interests and activities including (but not limited to):
- Playing computer games
- Playing football
- Trampolining
Hours are flexible to suit the needs of the individual. There are 4hrs per week available. however there may be some weeks where support is not required and the additional hours can be used in another week. Further details of shifts required can be discussed at the next stage of the application stage.
Experience working with and understanding children living with disabilities is essential for this role.
Candidates must also hold a full driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
The successful candidate must be willing to complete an Enhanced DBS check (fully funded by the Employer). Applicants who have a current DBS on the update service would be an advantage.
