Support Worker (Child) Whitehaven

We are currently recruiting for a Personal Assistant/ Support worker to support a 13 year-old boy from Whitehaven who has a diagnosis of Autism and ADHD.
The boy is verbal but can struggle with communication when ADHD is heightened. The young boy requires lots of encouragement and prompting with daily tasks, such as personal care needs.
The role will involve supporting the boy in his home environment and out in the local community in addition to a variety of keen interests and activities including (but not limited to):
· Trampolining
· Going to the park
· Playing video games / board games
The ideal candidate for the role will have patience and the ability to deal with any challenging situations in a calm and respectful manner and be able to build a relationship and trust with the boy.
Experience working with and understanding children living with disabilities is essential for this role.
Driving license is not essential for this role, however, it is desirable.

There are 4 hours per week available at the rate of £11.44 p/hour.
