We are currently recruiting for 2 Personal Assistants/ Support workers to support a 16 year-old boy from Egremont who has a diagnosis of Autism, ADHD, SLD and Epilepsy. The young boy’s epilepsy is under control, however, the PA is expected to carry the rescue medication and be fully trained, full training will be provided.
The boy is non-verbal but is good at expressing his needs. The young boy requires encouragement and prompting with daily tasks, such as personal care needs.
The family are looking for PA’s who are active, to keep up with the things the young boy enjoys doing.
The role will involve supporting the boy in his home environment and out in the local community in addition to a variety of keen interests and activities including (but not limited to):
· Exploring the outdoors
· Fell Walking
· Swimming
The ideal candidate for the role will have patience and the ability to deal with any challenging situations in a calm and respectful manner and be able to build a relationship and trust with the boy and can understand that the young boy has a regimented routine which is to be adhered to.
Experience working with and understanding children living with disabilities is desirable for this role, as the family are prepared to deliver training based around the child’s needs.
Candidates must also hold a full driving licence and have access to their own vehicle with adequate business insurance.

There are 3 hours per week per PA available at the rate of £12.21 p/hour during term time
There are 10 hours per week per PA available at the rate of £12.21 p/hour during School Holidays
