A group that’s all about fun, friendship, and new experiences

We host an inclusive youth group every Monday 5pm - 7pm (excluding bank holidays) at the People First Conference Centre for young people aged 15 - 25 with a learning disability or autistic people.

Based in Carlisle, our inclusive and welcoming youth group is a place where everyone can feel at home. We bring together young people for a mix of exciting activities, hands-on workshops, and games that spark both fun and learning.

We cover a variety of topics at our sessions and invite guest speakers to join us. Our programme offers 4 different styles of sessions:

Our Monday Night Youth Club is supported by The National Lottery Community Fund

Relaxed Sessions – A place to unwind and be yourself

Our Relaxed Sessions are all about creating a safe, calming environment where you can truly be yourself. With soft, dimmed lighting, a gentle atmosphere, and plenty of cosy spaces, these sessions are perfect for slowing down after a busy day.

You’ll have the chance to express yourself through arts and crafts, whether that’s painting, drawing, or trying something new with your hands. There’s no pressure just a friendly, supportive space where you can chat, create, or simply enjoy some quiet time.

These sessions are designed to help you recharge, boost your wellbeing, and explore your creativity at your own pace.

Speak-Up Sessions – Your voice matters

Our Speak-Up Sessions are all about giving you the space and confidence to express yourself. Whether it’s sharing your thoughts, telling your story, or exploring important topics together, these sessions encourage open conversation in a safe, supportive setting.

You’ll have the opportunity to take part in discussions, creative projects, and activities that help you build your communication skills and make your voice heard. It’s your time to speak, and we’re here to listen.

Focused Sessions – Learn, explore, and investigate.

Focused Sessions are designed to shine a spotlight on one specific topic, from national awareness days to important issues that matter to you. Often joined by inspiring guest speakers, these sessions give you the chance to learn something new, ask questions, and take part in engaging activities related to the theme.

Whether it’s exploring health and wellbeing, celebrating diversity, or discovering new opportunities, these sessions are about growing your knowledge and sparking curiosity.

Community Sessions – Out and about together

Community Sessions take our youth group on the road! These are all about getting out, having fun, and trying new experiences together. From peaceful walks in the park to meals out, bowling nights, or bouncing at the trampoline park, it’s a chance to connect with others while exploring what our community has to offer.

These sessions are perfect for building friendships, developing independence, and making unforgettable memories.
