"Can I say a massive thank you to you both for giving up so much of your time today to talk with our students about advocacy. It was a really interesting session and I know the students really valued the input. As a university, we can share our knowledge and practice in the classroom, but it really comes to life when students hear from practitioners living and breathing the work. It is such an essential part of their learning and will stand them in such good stead for their next placement and future practice. One of our aims for this module is that we really hope to inspire the students to pursue a career in adult social care, so thank you for really contributing to this! A special thanks also to Hannah and Emma, who so generously shared their experiences with their peers too. It was wonderful to hear the progression they’ve made on placement, and to be achieving so much in such a short time! They both talked with such passion about their work, so thanks to you and your team for both hosting two of our students and giving them a really rich learning opportunity.
