Feeling unsure about Carer’s Allowance? Wondering what support you might be entitled to? You’re not alone - and we’re here to help.

Our friendly and understanding team can help you understand what support is available, how to access it, and connect you with other organisations if you need more support. 

We can help you:

Know what support is out there

We offer free help and guidance through simple, straight to the point conversations. Our Support Workers understand the system, they know how complicated everything can be. They are here to help guide you through it. This could include helping you complete applications for non-means tested benefits, including:

  • Attendance Allowance
  • Personal Independence Payment (you’ll need to call 0800 917 22 22 to request a form before your appointment)
  • Carer’s Allowance
  • Carer’s Credit

Access carers discounts and support programmes

Alongside benefit applications, we can offer information and support to help you access:

  • Council tax discounts
  • Health-related benefits and funding
  • Grants from charitable trusts and benevolent foundations
  • Discounts from local businesses, leisure centres, and more

Connect with the right people

If needed, we can help you reach other organisations who may have more specific advice and guidance. 

We can help you make a referral to the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Home Visiting Team, and we can connect you to organisations such Citizens Advice. 

If we don't know the answer to a question we will help you reach the people who do know the answer.
