A gentleman in the Penrith area, employing his own staff through Direct Payments, is seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Care Assistant to provide one to one support in his home and local community. This role is ideal for someone who values dignity, independence, and meaningful, person centred care. He enjoys movie and music trivia and often likes trips to the cinema, so someone who shares or appreciates these interests would be very welcome.

About the Role:

You will be supporting/encouraging him with:
• Light personal care (such as washing, dressing, and grooming support)
• Supporting and encouraging meal preparation.
• Light household tasks
• Shopping and supporting him to make healthy, independent choices
• Encouraging and motivating him to undertake tasks independently wherever possible
• Occasional trips to the cinema, supporting him to enjoy his hobbies and social activities

Essential Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the care sector
• A caring, patient, and respectful approach
• Good communication skills
• Reliability and a positive attitude
• A current DBS is needed for this role and will be paid for through the Direct Payment.

Hours and Pay:
• 4 hours Saturday
• 4 hours Sunday
• £15.00 per hour
• Training and ongoing support provided
