We are looking for a kind, reliable and enthusiastic Personal Assistant to support a young man to enjoy social activities and days out in the Carlisle and Appleby areas. This is a lovely opportunity for someone who enjoys getting out and about, spending time outdoors and supporting someone to build confidence and independence while having fun.

The role includes:

  • Supporting social afternoons in the Carlisle area on Mondays and Tuesdays (6 hours per day)
  • Supporting additional social activities and outings 2 further days per week in and around the Appleby area (6 hours per day)

Total hours are around 24 hours per week, although this can be discussed with the family.

Essential

  • Experience of BSL and/or Makaton
  • Full British driving licence
  • Access to a car with business insurance

It would be lovely if you also have:

  • An interest in farming
  • A love of animals
  • Enjoy being outdoors and active

We would also welcome applications from registered self-employed PAs, with rates to be discussed with the family.
