Young Man (20) looking for 2 Self-Employed Personal Assistants. 1st PA to support with accessing the community, 2nd to support with independence skills and employability.

1st PA

We are looking for a reliable person to support a young autistic man to get out

and about in the countryside. He has a great sense of humour, loves music, and word

games. He walks at a brisk pace, so you will need a good level of fitness to keep up

with him. If you share his interests and love a good outdoor walk, we would love to

hear from you.

2nd PA

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, proactive, and committed to

supporting a young autistic man to build confidence, develop independence,

access his local community, and prepare for future employment


Skills Required:


Essential:
• Experience supporting autistic young people to develop independence
• Excellent communication skills with good sense of humour
• Ability to work independently
• A valid driving licence and have your own car.


Desirable:
• A creative approach to planning meaningful activities and encouraging new experiences.
• Ability to motivate and encourage someone to achieve their personal goals.
• Ability to liaise with employers, training providers and community organisations to help identify work and volunteering opportunities.
• Knowledge of employability, supported internships or vocational support.
• Confidence supporting travel training and independent living skills.
