We are seeking a reliable female individual to provide support to a 56-year-old lady with mental health problems in her own home in Ulverston.

She enjoys getting out into the community when she can, painting, shopping for clothes, music, and has a strong connection with her Buddhist faith.

We are looking for someone who can maintain strong boundaries and provide a friendly approach. Support will include:

  • Helping with correspondence such as letters, both understanding and actioning any relevant letters.
  • Arranging / attending appointments. 
  • Maintaining the property with domestic chores. 
  • Accessing the community - promoting the client to engage in groups and local charities within the area.
  • Support with budgeting - Ensuring the client is not overspending and support to access relevant financial services such as Citizen's Advice Bureau.

Driving License essential.

DBS check, essential. 

PA will need to be self-employed as client cannot directly employ.

Support will be had twice weekly for 2 hours each session.

Client's mental health is currently stable due to ongoing concordance with medication. Historic risks, but no longer an ongoing concern with professionals. Risk assessments and safety plans to be shared with prospective clients.
