Female support worker required for a very energetic and happy 14-year-old girl who is always moving and on the go. She likes going to parks, she loves water (but can’t swim). Likes to play with musical toys and has no sense of danger! She likes to climb on anything. She likes animals as well. She interacts well with adults.
She is doubly incontinent and uses Abina nappy pads. She requires 1-2-1 supervision at all times. She will run away if her hand is not held when out in public. She has Epilepsy and requires emergency meds to be with her at all times (more information will be given to successful applicant). She is scared of loud noises and she is none verbal but can show you what it is she wants.
Support will mainly be in the community, going for food and to have fun with activities that the girl enjoys.
Hours to be worked
4 hours on a Tuesday each week and then 6 hours on the first Saturday of each calendar month, can be flexible max. 6hrs per week.
Type of person
Must be female and comfortable with attending to her toileting needs (changing nappy/pads when needed). Must have own their transport, need to be patient when child is struggling and presenting challenging behaviour need to be able to support child with physical activities.
Requirements
Must have full drivers licence that is valid in the UK.
Must of access to car or other 4 wheeled transport with appropriate business insurance.
Must be willing and able to safely administer emergency meds and communicate with emergency services and parents (training will be provided).
