About the Role:
We are recruiting a reliable personal assistant to support a 17-year-old boy who has Autism and ADHD. He can communicate well, however lacks some social skills and requires emotional support. The successful candidate will encourage him to learn/develop social skills whilst out in the community, learning to use public transport etc and learn about money handling and shopping.
The ideal candidate will be patient, kind and empathetic so they can successfully support this young boy through any challenges he may experience. He loves art, swimming, anything water related, climbing, computers, animals and enjoys riding his bike. Any shared interests would be beneficial to establishing a bond.
Hours:
The working hours available are 5 hours per week during term time and 10 hours per week during school holidays; however, support may not be required every week, the shifts can be flexible to suit the right candidate.

An enhanced DBS will be required for this role, applicants on the Update Service are an advantage.
