We are looking for an active individual to support a 15-year- boy who is Autistic and has ADHD. He has no personal care needs, is verbal and does not have any mobility issues.
He would be looking for someone to provide more of a mentoring role and support him to take part in his hobbies.
Predominantly the right person would be supporting him to attend the gym weekly, to build up confidence.
He has a brilliant sense of humour. He is keenly interested in gaming, although is developing an interest in football, exercise, biking and golf. There may be times where weekly support may include these activities.
The ideal candidate will have an interest in these to encourage a positive experience and rapport with the child.
There are 4 hours per week available, which can be flexible on days. There is the opportunity for some longer shifts in holidays.
Requirements:
A Full UK Driver’s license with the appropriate business insurance is essential.
The successful candidate must be willing to complete an Enhanced DBS check (fully funded by the Employer). Applicants who have a current DBS on the update service would be an advantage.
