Salary: £12.71 per hour
Work Hours: 8 Hours per week during School Holidays

We are looking for a reliable, caring and experienced personal assistant to provide dedicated support to a 5-year-old girl with autism and PICA.

Advertised on behalf of a family:

The child is non-verbal and communicates primarily through hand leading, so patience, understanding and strong communication skills are essential. Constant supervision is required to ensure the child’s safety and wellbeing.

The role will include:

  • Personal care (nappy changing)
  • Feeding support
  • Medication administration
  • Emotional and behavioural support
  • Physical support
  • Communication support

You will also be required to support the child with activities and outings such as (but not limited to): 

  • Soft play
  • Swimming
  • Trampolining
  • Going to the park
  • Water play

Skills Required:
Essential:
•    Enhanced DBS Check (funded by the employer)
•    Previous relevant experience
•    Drivers licence
•    Experience with seizures 
•    Experience with medication administration
