Support Worker (Child) Barrow WAF027-DH
Advertised on behalf of a family:
Parents are looking for someone kind, patient and understanding to support their 9-year-old son.
He’s mostly a very happy, confident and direct boy who loves telling jokes and having a bit of banter. He enjoys swimming, going out for walks, and is absolutely obsessed with statues — he knows every single one in Barrow!
While he’s usually very cheerful, he can also be quite emotional at times. He’s very honest and will quickly let you know if he likes you — or if he doesn’t! So we’re looking for someone warm, calm and able to build a positive connection with him.
The right person should have an understanding of, and experience supporting, children with additional needs. This could be through personal experience or in a professional role.
The role involves supporting him socially and helping him take part in activities he enjoys out in the community.
Hours are flexible and can be split into more than one session, to be arranged with the parents.
If you’re friendly, reliable and enjoy working with children, we’d love to hear from you.
