It’s been a few months now since we launched our Trans Voices Project, and we wanted to give you an update on where we’ve got to and our plans for future months.
Trans Voices:
In August, we launched our Trans Voices Project, to look at the experiences of local people when accessing health and social care services.
From long wait times for gender dysphoria care, to experiences with GPs and local support groups, we wanted to find out what local trans and gender diverse people think about the support available.
Our Focus Groups:
The Healthwatch Cumberland team have been conducting some focus groups with local trans and gender diverse peer support groups.
We have visited some local groups already and found out their thoughts on health and social care services.
