A family in Keswick is looking for a kind, patient and reliable Personal Assistant to support their 10-year-old son, who has Autism, ADHD and sensory needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and can provide a safe, supportive and engaging environment. The young boy is very energetic and has limited awareness of danger, so the successful applicant must be vigilant, calm and able to support him safely during activities in the community.

Main Duties

  • Provide emotional and behavioural support.
  • Support the child to access and enjoy community activities.
  • Accompany him on outings such as:
    • Visits to the park.
    • Trampolining.
    • Swimming.

Hours

  • 6 hours per week available

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children with SEND is essential.
  • Enhanced DBS check (funded by the employer).
