Personal Assistant (Child) Wigton ILC-C-216
Advertised on behalf of parents/customer:
Support is required on alternate weekends, with flexibility around hours and the possibility of additional weekday hours. A job share arrangement would also be considered.
The child requires support with personal care, communication, emotional wellbeing and behaviour management. He communicates verbally but speech delay and uses a small amount of Makaton alongside other forms of communication, so a PA will need to be patient and responsive to his individual communication style.
The main purpose of the role is to support him to access the community and participate in activities outside the home that provide physical and sensory feedback to help with regulation. He enjoys a range of activities including visiting animals, transport-related outings, soft play, swimming, trampolining, parks, cooking, baking and games, and is currently a member of a SEN football team which he would require support to attend.
