Welcome to our July Newsletter!
July has been a very exciting month for us as we have welcomed two new members to the Healthwatch Cumberland team. Andy, our new Engagement Officer and Suzannah, our new Communications and Administration Coordinator, who you'll get to meet soon.
In this month's edition, we're embracing all things 'Try Dry July' as we run up to our event on 30th July. As well, you'll read about the partners that will be involved on the day and you'll also read about Andy's reflections on the Addictions project and how addiction doesn’t discriminate.

Andy: The importance of the Addictions report

‘What does the word 'Addiction' mean to you?’ As a new member of the Healthwatch Cumberland Team this was a question I was posed on my very first day in the job.
Between March and June 2024, the team investigated the impact addiction has on an individual, their loved ones and their community.
