On Saturday 24th September People First attended this year’s Cumbria Pride event in Carlisle.
The event which took place in Caldew Riverside Car Park, saw thousands of people come together to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community in a safe space. With live entertainment, stalls and food and drink outlets it was a day not to be missed. The sun even managed to make an appearance! Spirits were high and it was great to see so many friends and families coming together.
Natalie Bingham Fundraising Officer at People First said; “The team from People First had a great day at Cumbria Pride 2022! It was wonderful to be able to chat with so many people in the community about People First and the support we provide to those who need it the most.
Like Cumbria Pride, we believe that everybody should live their lives the way they want to. We listen to those who need to be heard, we empower people to have their say, and we engage with services to increase awareness and improve support.
We are proud to support Cumbria Pride and look forward to continuing doing so for many years to come.”
