The Healthwatch Cumberland team are looking at the different factors that affect youth mental health, and what is needed to support young people to feel empowered and happy.

Are you a trans or gender diverse person living in Cumberland? Healthwatch Cumberland would like to know about your experience. We know being trans is a different experience for each trans person and there is no one way to be trans. But we would like to know about your journey and the support you received, with a particular focus on health and social care.

Healthwatch Cumberland and Cumberland Council created a Lived Experience network in 2024. The aim of this network is to help develop and shape local services by using the voice and experiences of local citizens. Incorporating lived experience into the way we design services can lead to improved outcomes, early interventions and prevention as well as better informed decision makers.
