Welcome to the latest edition of our monthly e-newsletter. Read more to find out what your local Healthwatch has been up to last month.
Last month, we turned 10 years old and we spent the month celebrating! We have been busy out and about in Lancashire, speaking with communities. From Skelmersdale, Preston, Morecambe and Chorley, our team has been listening to your experiences from across health and social care.
In this edition, you can read about our new project 'Waiting for Wellness', a recent Enter and View revisit to Enable U and where to find us in May.
Introducing Waiting for Wellness!
Introducing our latest project 'Waiting for Wellness'; a project exploring people's experiences of mental health support in Lancashire.
Over the past few months, we have heard an increasing amount of feedback about mental health services and resultant wait times. A large proportion of people who we have spoken to who are on a waiting list for mental health support, have shared that they have not been offered any support in the meantime. Do you have experience of this?
We also want to hear from people who have not accessed mental health services. Would you know where to go if you needed support in the future?
Where are we in May?
We are holding our first health and wellbeing event in Hornby!
As well as that, there are plenty of opportunities to find us out and about during May. From Leyland to Nelson, through health events to library pop-up events, your local Healthwatch is here to listen to your views.
Where to find us.
You said, we did
Introducing 'You said - we did'.
Each month we want to tell readers the impact we have made in the month. This month we published a report of an Enter and View revisit to Enable U, a day service for adults with learning disabilities. The visit allowed us to celebrate success and measure change.
