Local company Borderway Finance are taking on the Ullswater Way Walk to raise money for People First.
Following on from the success of the Keswick Three Peaks challenge last year, Borderway Finance have signed up for their next Lake District walking challenge, hoping to raise even more money for People First.Together with friends and family, they have committed to take on the Ullswater Way walk, a 20 mile circular walk, taking in some of the best scenery in the UK.
The walk which will take place on Sunday 9th July will see a team of 14 staff, friends and family walk around the whole of Ullswater lake.
Natalie Bingham, Fundraising Officer at People First, said:
“We are absolutely over the moon that Borderway Finance have chosen to fundraise for us again this year! The Borderway Finance team took on our Keswick Three Peaks challenge last year and raised a fantastic total of £2,660. It was a wonderful day and it was a privilege to be a part of it and see the team work so closely together.
To have an even bigger team taking part this year, including friends and family, is truly amazing and we can’t wait to see how they all get on during the challenge! All funds raised during this challenge will go a long way to support people with learning disabilities to live their lives the way they choose.”
Jenny Strong, Direct and Corporate Account Manager at Borderway Finance said:
“We are absolutely delighted to be supporting People First again this year, a wonderful charity whose values are aligned with our own. This year, we are hoping to exceed last year’s fundraising figure and with more team members, family and friends we are confident that we can do this.”
